Nail lacquer and UV gel polish manufacturers require glitters that can survive prolonged immersion in aggressive organic solvents such as ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, nitrocellulose, and acrylic monomer liquids. Low-grade glitters quickly leach dye, swell, and curl at the edges, ruining the entire batch of polish.
