Technical Engineering Deep-Dive

Engineered Specifically for Screen Printing & Textiles

Textile printers, garment manufacturers, and heat transfer vinyl (HTV) producers require glitter pigments that can endure the demanding thermal and mechanical conditions of industrial apparel production. Inferior glitters curl inside conveyor curing dryers, scratch the wearer's skin, or wash out after a few laundry cycles.

MLM Cosmetic manufactures soft-hand, wash-fast textile glitter pigments engineered specifically for screen printing ink formulations. Coated with thermo-elastic crosslinked resins, our flakes resist cracking during garment stretch, survive 50+ commercial washing cycles at 60°C, and provide a remarkably soft touch even on fitted athletic apparel.

MLM Cosmetic Manufacturing Guarantees

Technical Questions

Frequently Asked Formulation Questions

Expert answers from our chemical engineers and regulatory specialists.

Q1.Will this glitter feel scratchy against the skin when printed on t-shirts?

No. Our textile series is cut from ultra-thin 12μm flexible film with rounded micro-corners and a soft-hand resin coat, creating a smooth, comfortable hand-feel that won't irritate skin even on baby clothing.

Q2.What screen mesh count should we use for your glitter sizes?

We recommend: Mesh 110-156 for 1/500" (50μm), Mesh 86-110 for 1/256" (100μm), Mesh 38-60 for 1/128" (200μm), and Mesh 24-38 for 1/64" (400μm).

Q3.Can your glitter withstand infrared dryer tunnels at 160°C–180°C?

Yes. Our high-temperature PET substrate withstands industrial dryer tunnels up to 180°C (356°F) without curling, shrinking, or losing color vibrancy.

Q4.Is this glitter compliant with baby wear and children's apparel safety standards?

Yes. Our textile pigments comply with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I, US CPSIA (lead content <90ppm, phthalates <0.1%), and EU REACH SVHC regulations.
